Makadie's 1st Easter Egg Hunt

We wanted to take Makadie to an Easter Egg Hunt this year. We woke up Saturday to more snow but decided to bundle up and head out hunting anyway.

We went to Colorado Christian University in Lakewood. They host a hunt for kids in the community. The event started with Donuts and Hot Chocolate while the kids watched an Easter Veggie Tales cartoon. It was basically an Easter version of "A Christmas Carol". It was cute.

Then it was time for the BIG HUNT. They had different areas on the campus divided into age groups. The eggs were really easy to see due to the snow, but all the kids really had a lot of fun. The eggs were the plastic kind that were filled with candy. They asked you to take the candy and leave the eggs for next years hunt.

Makadie loved finding the eggs and putting them in her basket. Her little fingers were cold by the time we were done, but she did not mind at all.
