Here are some pics of a few of the many projects we are working on right now!
We got our baseboards painted and cut and placed. We still need to nail them into the wall. . . but one step at a time. It is amazing the difference it made with the baseboards. The rooms look a little classier and it produced an overall more finished look. This is a picture of the bathroom upstairs! You can also see Coleman's (and the Goodell's) awesome painting and tile job! Good work guys!
This has been my project! Painting polka-dots on Makadie's walls! Alita helped with the inital dots that we placed wooden letters that spell Makadie in! It is a fun room and we all love it! When people come over Makadie always wants to show them her polka dot room!
I still need to finish the rest of the green dots and give the purple ones a second coat of paint--but it is really coming along!
This is a picture of our living room upstairs! It is slowly turning into a nice space. Our new rug really adds a lot!
Alita helped paint the dark green corner shelf for Anika's room white! It took a lot of white to cover up all that green, but the final result was pleasing to us all! I'll post a picture of the completed shelf soon!
We are painting one wall in our kitchen dark red! It looks great! Here is Makadie being a helper and 'pretending' to paint the wall!
We also painted this rectangled hole in the wall red. I keep my cookbooks in it. It is fun to make this house our own!
It has been fun working on our house and making it our home. We still have a lot we need to do and a lot we want to do! We are so blessed to be able to have a home and be able to fix it up! Thanks to all of you that have helped in various ways!

Progress, Progress, Progress
Organization Finds Makadie's Playroom
Here are a few pictures of Makadie's playroom in the basement. Trying to keep order and fun in this space has been a challenge! Coleman's sister Alita came to visit and brought some hanging net basket things from Ikea. They worked great in the corners of the room and added a little color and shape to the room! Thanks for all of your help Alita!

Do they look alike?
We have had some requests to see the girls side by side at 2 months to see how close alike they look!
I think that they definitely look like family, but not as much alike as they did 1 month ago!
Makadie is the cutie in the pink and white shirt! Anika is the sweet one in the purple and white dress!

19 Jan 2008 --- Anika is 2 months old!!
Anika survived all of the nasty 2 month shots and even took an oral vaccine! She weighed in at 10 pounds even! She has been a fun little lady. She loves to talk and smile. My favorite thing to do with her is to talk to her. She is SO cute. She won't talk while you are talking. So when I stop talking I watch her figure out how to make the sounds. Then she talks and smiles at you as if she is carrying on a real conversation. It is so sweet and almost brings sweet tears to my eyes. She is a very special baby girl. I am excited to continue to get to know her and watch explore with her during her next 2 months.
