St. Patrick's Day Parade March 13, 2010
We took the Light Rail to Downtown Denver and watched the St. Patrick's Day Parade this past Saturday!
The weather was AMAZING and we LOVED being outside!
*
We sat in front of Union Station, the old train station. It is really pretty inside and very neat! IT made us feel like we were in some old movie and wanted to buy a ticket!
The girls were wearing their new sunglasses (we are trying to get them trained) and their cool green bandanas from their St. Patty's package they recieved from Ogden (thanks guys!).
Miss Snoop-Dog and Miss Audrey Hepburn!
The girls would not keep their bandanas on so we gave them our hats, but it was so hot and sunny we put them on!
We have gone to the parade before and like this time, never saw the end! It's a pretty long parade and after a few hours in the sun we were ready to take the Light Rail back home!

Happy Pi or PIE Day!
On March 14 or 3-14 we celebrated Pi Day with PIE~ We had a house full of people and a house full of pie! 20 adults and 8 pies and 11 kiddos! It was a party and pretty tasty!

Here is Coleman's beautiful Lemon Meringue Pie! Doesn't it look great!
*
I made a Coconut Cream Pie--one of my all time favorites! I thought it looked great!

St. Patty's Day Dinner 3-17-2010
Last St. Patty's Day we did the whole Corned-Beef and Cabbage thing--and our guests (the Goodells) and us were not fans! So this year we stuck to green food coloring for the effect!
*
We made my Grandma's egg noodles--hers were usually not green though~
Once they dried a bit into the pot they went!
Here's a closer look!

Makadie eating her yummy GREEN dinner!

My Green-Giant--at least for today!

A little stunt Makadie's Mom used to do at Cheer Camp! Dad's a bit long though--his legs are supposed to be fully extended!
Here's a closer look!

I was at the church for a Relief Society Activity and was not able to eat the green dinner with the family! They said that it was yummy! I tried it when I got home--and it was tasty~

I enjoyed making the noodles because it brought back memories of making them with my Grandma Iva as a little girl! We always LOVED her noodles!
