Coleman's sisters came to visit us in July. While they were here we went to Colorado's Dragon Boat Festival.

Teams enter and race Dragon Boats on Sloan Lake in Downtown Denver. Anyone can get a team together. There were a lot of businesses that had teams. Besides the racing on the lake it was an Asian festival. There were booths set up around the lake representing many Asian countries and cultures. Alita was excited to see the Filipino booths and exhibits. We tasted fermented goat's milk (it was disgusting), some milky drink with garbanzo beans in it (very weird). After those we did not attempt any other samples. We did eat at a Filipino booth. The lines to eat were LONG but the food was yummy. We brought Makadie's stroller so she took a nap in it as we finished up the event. It was a blessing to have the stroller!

Since the event was downtown at a Lake Park there was really NO parking. But they had it arranged to park at Invesco Field (where the Denver Broncos play) and shuttled to the park. So we did that. Makadie LOVED riding on the bus! I think that was her favorite part.
