Makadie's First Campout!

The beginning of August our ward had it's annual campout about 45 minutes north of Lakewood. There was a small but good turnout. Friday night we made tin-foil dinners, dutch oven peach cobbler, and smores of course! Saturday morning the ward made pancakes, eggs, and bacon! It was yummy.

Makadie was a big help in taking down the tent! Thanks Makadie--your stick was a big help.

Coleman thought that Makadie would have been better off sleeping in the tent's hammock thing---but I would have to disagree.

A few familes stayed on Saturday to go hiking around the campsite. We hiked up to this little but pretty waterfall. It was neat how the water made ripples or indentions in the rock as it flowed down the hill.

Here is a view of the top of the mountian. We were hiking in the trees. We decided not to scale the mountain--you know with the kids and all.

All in All it was a fun weekend! We really missed the Edwards tent and realized our tiny tent does not fit Makdie too well--she squirms WAY TOO MUCH.
