Makadie was bored at the airport waiting to fly to NC. She finally found something on the ground to put into her mouth--Daddy's Shoelace--Yum--Yum--Yum!!
Here we are at the Jefferson Monument! You get an outside full view and an up close and personal inside look!
It was kinda rainy, but not too cold. We were comfortable walking around and looking at all the monuments. Here we are with the Washington Monument in the background.
The rental car we were given was a pontiac G6. It was a lot of fun--sun roof, XM-radio, heated seats (it was too warm to use them though), nice seats, and more! One thing that we also discovered about the car is how great the trunk doubles for a changing table when it is empty! Here Makadie is trying to climb out of the changing table! A cool thing about the XM-radio in the car was that you could push a button and it would tell you who was singing and the name of the song. We had a lot of fun quizzing each other. Coleman was impressed with Roni's knowledge of country music!

We got to see the Lincoln Monument! It was amazing to be at and see all these places I had only seen in books and on TV.

You know, I've seen sister missionaries that take pictures like that called their "trunky" pictures. Is Makadie just getting her's out of the way early?
Seriously it looks like you guys had a great time in D.C. I can't wait to go there someday.
