Christmas Eve 2007

Christmas was spent in Denver (Lakewood) this year without any extra family!

We started off the day by playing in the snow in our backyard. We wanted to make a snowman but the snow was too hard and powdery that it was impossible to pack together! So we had fun just playing!

Throwing snow at each other, making Snow Angels, driving! Lots and Lots of fun!

The girls got matching Christmas Jammies from their Aunts and they looked mighty cute in them!

We read the Christmas Story in the scriptures and Makadie and helped "act" it out with her little people Nativity set. It was very cute and fun. We sat in front of the fireplace with our blazing fire made of old baseboards that we removed from the house before we got new carpet.

Earlier in the evening we had dinner with friends from the ward. A couple in the ward had all of the 'family not around here' people over. We ate yummy soups and played Christmas games and sang Christmas Carols. It was a wonderful evening!

Makadie was so excited to leave cookies and chocolate milk for Santa. She was in bed by 9:00. Once she was in bed we wrapped presents--we waited to do this so that no curious hands would unwrap the pretty packages!

This is Anika in the Thumper jammies--she just was too cute cuddling that we had to take a pic Christmas Eve morning!

Here Makadie is riding Daddy and Anika is riding Makadie! Giddie up cowgirls!
