We all had fun at Elitch Gardens--the Amusement Park in Denver--while my family was visiting during the 4th.

Makadie tried out the tester seat for the Half Pipe Ride. It was a big skateboard type thing. Coleman, DK, and I were on it--so we did not get any pictures!
So the Boat Water Ride (I don't know the official fun name of the ride) was our favorite! It is also the one that we took the most pictures of! It was supposed to be the coolest day of the week, in the low to mid 80's. We thought that it was a perfect day for an amusement park! But it happened to be one the hottest in the mid 90's~ So the water rides were greatly enjoyed and appreciated!

DK and Coleman took Brandon and Makadie on it! The kids had a blast! Makadie was ear to ear smiles during the whole ride!
Amy, Grandma, Roni, and Brandon! In the second of these four pictures you can see that the boat goes under a walkway. When you get off the boat after your ride is finished you have to cross that walkway. The point is to hurry across before the nest boat comes or you will get totally and completely wet. After our ride Brandon wanted to go again and get wet again. So we thought that he might like stopping on the walkway to get splashed by the next boat. Well splash is not quite the right word to use. It was more like BRICK WALL OF WATER! It was SO MUCH water and took our breath away. I thought that is was amazing because it was such a surprise--that much water. Brandon did NOT like it! If we would have known how powerful the "Splash" would have been, we would have hurried off the walkway too!
